Cobalt & Grey

Last Thursday, I had the honor of going to The Southern Coterie Summit Sessions held in Nashville. I went with my sister (who I work for). She wanted me to get more familiar with her world and it was so fun! I learned a lot and met a lot of wonderful ladies that are right here in the Nashville area. All morning/afternoon we listened to several different speakers on various topics and got to try all kinds of goodies. Then for the evening portion, we had Cocktails & Conversation that was held at the Southern Living Idea House. We got to tour it all- gorgeous! Also got to meet the Editor in Chief of Southern Living, Lindsay Bierman! Super cool! Anyways, during the day I wore a ruffled purple tank with a light purple cardigan, dark skinnies, and nude flats. You didn't have to change for the evening portion but we did and so did most everyone else since we were having "cocktail hour". I now love love love cobalt blue with grey. I need to come up with more of this combination because I just love how the bright blue pops!

Neutral Fall Outfit

I love wearing neutrals! It gives you a blank canvas that's so easy to add accessories for a put together look. I wore this to meet up with friends while I was visiting in Ohio. It was pretty cool so I threw on my LC | Lauren Conrad leather jacket (as seen in this post) before I left but didn't get any pictures of that. There are many other options I could have worn with these neutral basics but here's what I put together!

Ivory Cardigan: Target
Nude Cami: Old Navy
Scarf: Body Central
Skinnies: Old Navy
Gold Sparkly Flats: Walmart
Gold Watch: Target

My camera on my iPhone is out of whack so these aren't the greatest but still wanted to share!

Camo Jacket Gets Dressed Up

I have had this camo jacket for awhile now, but I still love it! It's light enough to transition into fall but still sturdy/thick enough that it keeps the wind out. Military trend has been all the buzz and I love dressing it up. Mixing patterns and textures, throwing on some neutral accessories and you can look put together but like you didn't try that hard. That's always a win-win for me! This dress is a super comfortable cotton dress that I've styled on here before with a denim blazer and leopard heels (seen here). If you want to see the other way I wore this jacket, take a look at this post here. Wore this to work today, which ended up being at Panera Bread! Our internet didn't want to work today so we needed somewhere with free wi-fi.

Mint Polka Dots, Lace Trimmed Denim & Gold Sparkles

Hey Y'all! I have been so busy the last few weeks I keep forgetting to take outfit pictures! Today I snapped a couple on my phone because I am obsessed with each of these individually, so of course I love them when they are all together! I wore this to work today. I'm lucky I have a job where I can wear pretty much whatever I want! :) Today was an odd day so I took a bubble bath, had some sweet red wine to relax and now I'm laying in bed while I'm posting this. I'm going to be calling it early tonight! I'm exhausted!

Pink Shorts

I wore this outfit before Labor Day, so my white sandals were allowed! I know they say it's okay to still wear white after labor day, but I just can't do it! My mom and grandma taught me that tradition and I'll probably stick to it the rest of my life! Anyways, I wore this outfit to work! I love the bright necklace against the white to pop!

I just couldn't pass it up though and knew I could wear it this year! I love the cut/style of this dress. It's girly and flirty and flattering which is always a plus! I paired it with gold sandals and some gold/coral earrings! Sunshine from head to toe and I loved it!

(As you can see pictured below) It's an 18 month that started August 2013 and goes through to January 2015! It's so colorful, has floral & gingham prints and it is just the cutest thing! I love chambray and mint together and this was the perfect outfit to run errands in. I found these shorts at the Elder-Beerman Clearance Center. They were a steal for only $3! Yes, only $3! This chambray shirt was only $5! I love my bargains, especially when they look cute! I wore this outfit to a doctors appointment, then out shopping at the outlet mall and to lunch with my Mom.

Happy Birthday America!

Happy 4th of July y'all! Hope everyone was able to enjoy their day no matter what you had going on! I had to work for a little bit this afternoon but then I got to enjoy a cookout with some of my family. It literally rained all day so I didn't get to watch fireworks tonight. I'm bummed out about that! First time ever not seeing fireworks on the 4th of July and it ruined it for me! :( I did however get to wear my USA tank top I got for today! I only snapped one picture of it but I wore it with some destroyed denim shorts from American Eagle and some flip flops. Pretty casual but still cute! I also had a fun mani/pedi. So here's a picture of the mani too.

Old Navy: $12.94

God Bless America!

Crocheted Lace Tank

I am such a girly-girl so when I saw this tank I jumped on it! It's so delicate looking. This is going to be a staple for me for the rest of the summer! My sister is in town from Tennessee because she leaves for Haiti on Thursday with our church here in Ohio. Tonight we went to dinner with our parents to the Mexican restaurant here in town. Afterwards we walked to the covered bridge and I asked my sister to take some pictures for me. I love this outfit and will probably be wearing it several more times also while changing it up a bit.

Memorial Day

Hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day! I had a very fun-filled one. I got to sleep in, lay out with my best friend, had a cookout, went to the cemetery to visit a friend and went out for drinks on a patio! Here's a few pictures from throughout the day. I ended up throwing on dark wash jean shorts instead of the skirt because I felt too dressy for what I had planned! Of course I had to be patriotic! I am so thankful to be an American. As a country we might be struggling on some things but would you honestly want to live somewhere else, cause I wouldn't! I also planned on having a blue nail in my mani but I could not get my brand new bottle of blue nail polish open so I had to just stick to red & white!

Lace top: Old Navy, clearance $7.49
Navy pleated skirt: Forever 21 $15.80
Silver belt: Body Central $1.90
Navy sandals: Old Navy $19.99
Watch: Walmart $10.48

Cool Floral Print & Pretty Details

I wore this outfit to church just this past Sunday. It was cool but I didn't need a jacket. My church is pretty laid back when it comes to attire. You can wear whatever you want, casual to dressy. Which I like because depending on my mood and how much time or effort I want to put into getting ready determines how I dress! I was kind of in the middle this time, not too casual or too dressy. I was quite comfortable in this and still look put together. This outfit not counting the purse comes in at under $35. Wowza! I think I'm a pretty good bargain shopper. Ladies, you don't have to have lots of money to look good!
