Pretty Pastels

Hi loves! I adore pastels so when I put this outfit together, it easily became my favorite, currently anyways! Soft peach, pink, lavender with a touch of "greige" (beige + gray). I just added silver accessories and my purple nails were a nice compliment to the outfit. I honestly cannot wait to wear this outfit again!

Last night, my sister and I met up with our friend Ashley downtown at The Hard Rock Cafe. They have live band karaoke on Wednesday nights and Ashley is an awesome performer! She actually has a showcase there next Monday so the owner wanted her to come and promote the show. He was super nice and actually paid for our dinner! The perks of living in Nashville are sometimes pretty cool! Also, I have some good news I'll be sharing in my next post!

Desert Tones

Hey gorgeous! So today, I woke up late for work & literally threw this outfit together in less than 5 minutes! I haven't worn this necklace in forever, (it used to be my sisters but she gave it to me, thanks sis!) but it caught my eye this morning. I usually wear it with white or brown but I grabbed this blue tee & my coral jeans and added my camel cardigan and bronze sandals. For how quick I had to get ready this morning, I love this outfit! Super comfortable and reminds me of summer. Now I'm going to get back to reliving CMA Fest! I love Nashville and country music and it was so awesome to be apart of this huge concert series!

Graphic Tees

Hi y'all! Hope you had a good weekend. I didn't do much other then lounge by the pool and hang out with family, which was just what I needed. Anyways, today I wanted to share my love for graphic tees. I don't have many but I am sharing 3 today. I use all of these sayings on the daily so they are perfect for me! Sweet Germantown

Hey y'all! So last Thursday, my friend Marcie from Texas, flew into Nashville. On Friday, her, myself & my sister headed up to Ohio for the weekend. She had a bridal shower and it was my best friend's birthday as well. Also, Marcie hadn't met my mom yet so they finally got to meet and she got to see where I grew up! We got in Friday night and hung out with my mom & step-dad for a couple hours. Then I took Marcie downtown to our little Mexican restaurant that we like to call Mexico. We indulged in yummy pineapple/strawberry margaritas, cheese dip and burritos! After dinner we went up to one of my friend's houses for a small bonfire. Perfect small town summer night! Then on Saturday, we walked downtown and had brunch at the local diner, KJ's. We then went to The Pine Peddler, a new primitive/antique store in town. I bought an old cookbook from 1967 for only $7! It even had old handwritten notes and recipes in it which to me, are priceless! We did a little walking through town to show Marcie different things and then we went to Kmart! There aren't any Kmart's in San Antonio anymore, so when she is in town, we always make a stop! Then we went to the cemetary so I could visit Jamie. I hasn't been there since Christmastime so it was long overdue for a chat with my bestie/guardian angel. Then we had dinner plans for Marissa's 25th birthday! We went to Chappy's then to our local bar, Laff's. Got to see several friends so it was a good night. Sunday, we spent the afternoon at my grandparents for lunch & listened to my grandma tell stories (one of my favorite things). Here's some pictures of my trip!

Peek Into Instagram

Hey y'all! I said in a previous post I post daily on Instagram (@corkyree). Not always a full outfit but I thought I'd share a few of my close up Instagram outfit posts. I also decided to cut my hair on Wednesday! I chopped about 5-6 inches off and got rid of all the ombré. It was very brittle from all the bleach that had been on it so I decided a new style would be the way to start over! I'm heading home to see my mamma & for my best friends birthday in Ohio this weekend! One of my best friends from San Antonio is coming with me, she's always wanted to see where I grew up, 'cause it's the cutest town ever! I'll share pics when I return to Nashville.

Orange Summer Dress

Hello loves! In clothing, there isn't anything I love more than a summer dress. They are so easy and comfortable when it's so hot out. I wore this adorable orange cotton dress during CMA Fest. Had a friend in town visiting so we went to dinner at Shipwreck Cove, a little bar on a marina and then headed downtown Nashville for some bar hopping honky tonking! Always a good time! I wore sandals to dinner but then threw on my cowboy boots when we headed downtown!

Floral Meets Edgy

Hi lovies! I absolutely love "edgy" accessories that are also girlie. When I came across this necklace for only $1.99 at Old Navy, I knew it'd be coming home with me! This top has a gorgeous floral print but the black trim and gold buttons it gives it a little edge. I paired it with a simple black circle skirt, black sandals and gold accessories. This outfit might be in my top favorites! (You can check out how I styled this top before here.)

Derby Inspired... Yes, I'm a Bit Late

So, I know the Derby was 2 months ago, but this is one of my favorite pool looks so I'm posting it even if it is 2 months later. We were spending time with family poolside during the Derby so I decided to wear my floppy hat with an easy dress and swim suit! My pup, (he's actually an old man at 8 years old) Rascal, had to photobomb because he always has to be close to me! Thanks to my sister, Steph who is always being my photographer- love you sis!

Let's Play Catch-Up & Texas

Hey y'all! It's been months since I've posted anything! I still check in on the blogs I follow but for some reason I just couldn't get myself to put a post together. I've had a lot going on in my personal life and kind of in a rut but I think it's time I pull myself out of it! The last time I posted was in March, MARCH! Well there's a lot that has happened since then! In April, I visited my friends in San Antonio. It was a much needed week away and it was good to catch up with them. I hadn't been there since I moved after my breakup so it was a little bittersweet. I had the best time though and I know the friends I made there are friends for life. In May, I started a new job and we had lots of company which is always fun! Then in June, I landed myself in the hospital. I had a blessing in disguise moment and thankful I'm heading in the right direction regarding my health. Also, my baby sister had her baby boy, Benjamin Ryan on June 16th, and he's got me wrapped around his little finger already! I think that'll be enough for one post! Here's a peak from my trip to Texas!

Oh, how I love these people!:) Miss them all SO much!
